Spring Session
Saturday, 17 April 2010 00:00    PDF Print E-mail

The new session starts tuesday april 27th.

15 weeks of action. At some point I'd like to organize a workshops with Mestre Peninha.

We have a lot of stuff to cover. We're going to work a lot on Benguela and review Regional foundation. We have a lot of music to practice and bring up our playing and singing repertoire.

During this session we’re gonna go to Mestre Peninha's academy once a month for a roda with the rest of the familly and slowly start to have our official Rodas. When the weather permits it we'll have classes and rodas outside in the park and also have class outings and visit other groups.

I still have uniforms left. I have white abadás & black malhas as well. If you don’t own one get a white one first. I have all sizes, so let me know when you want some so I can bring them to the studio.

The week of May 24th until the 30th regular classes will be post-poned because our Batizado is taking place.

Workshops with guest teachers and Mestres. Lots of information to take in, foundation to review and new stuff to learn. So hurry up and register, the price for the whole week of workshops, rodas, event t-shirt, batizado and cord if earned is 180$ until May 15th, after that date its 200$. May 22nd is the children's batizado, and also april 23rd, 24th and 25 are the batizados in the U.S. in Lake Placid, Plattsburgh and Vermont. You are all welcomed to join and participate to give energy and play with our crew members over there and help make their events a success.

See you all in class, have a great session.

Formado Pirata.
